Formerly owned by Rosalia Touchon and international artist Cecil Touchon, This Bed and Breakfast is owned by George and Inese Laivinieks and is located close to the heart of  Cuernavaca, Morelos. This Cuernavaca dream house is located on a private gated drive on a large carefully manicured garden estate sloping down to a river.

We have available to our guests 2 spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms Cable TV and Internet.

Casa del Artista is named for our daughter Sonja who is a wonderful artist.

Sonja was born in Chicago, Illinois with cerebral palsy.  She has overcome many disabilities since her birth.  She did not walk or talk for the first 4 years of her life.  There were many surgeries with body casts that lasted 6 months at a time.

Sonja completed her high school education in Chicago, Illinois and her interest in painting began in Cuernavaca, Mexico around 2005.  Sonja's passion are flowers and appear in most of her works.

Sonja has studied with several well known artists of Mexico with international fame such as Frida Chida, Frida Kessler, Emil Tasoada and at present is learning and studying the art of alebrejes with Patricia Alvarez.

Sonja's work has had exposure to the public in Acapulco, Mexico City and Cuernavaca.  Her work has also received 1st place in a group exhibition in Cuernavaca as well as shown on local television in Cuernavaca.

  George and Inese are available for trips within a 200 mile radius of Cuernavaca.
Both bed and breakfast rooms have Televisions, with cable,  refrigerator, access to the pool and basketball court.  Large gardens extend down to the river and a waterfall.

The gardens of the bed and breakfast, there are 4 separate gardens,  include many domesticated birds including ducks,  peacocks, geese, toucan, parrots and parakeets. 
  Dogs cats and other animals can also be found around the grounds of the bed and breakfast.  We love animals!

Rates are $95 for double occupancy at our bed and breakfast or $65 a person.  Minimum stay at the bed and breakfast is 2 nights.

Weekly and monthly rates are available. This B&B offers two artistically themed rooms. With pool, Easy access to the whole city from this North side very centrally located b&b.
